Unfortunately, PCMARK 8 proved to be an overpriced disappointment. The software offers a very short list of benchmarks which range from somewhat useful, to downright pointless. I regret not doing more research on this product, but atleast I bought it on sale.. Those benchmarks are to long, 90min+, each. Need a day off to run standard test.My hardware: use i7 cpu 16gbram 3.8TB SSD and a nvidia GTX.p.s. Steam reports that I have used PCMARK 8 for 26hours which I didn'tThe same is with I7-6800k 6 core 12 threads64GB ramRIP PCmarkEDIT: update. Only runs with explorer 10!. How do you manage to miss the mark when making a PC benchmarking utility? I can't even begin to fathom, but ask these guys - they know. I decided it was time to tweak my CPU clock settings once again and grabbed this only to find that if I ran one-off tests, I didn't receive anything but a log of when the tasks began and ended. The included tests take a minimum of 15 minutes to run, topping out at an hour or two. That's just plain ridiculous. I want a quick assessment of my machine that takes less than 5 minutes to run. I was able to get this out of a free package while this piece of garbage I stupidly paid ten bucks for gathers dust. Don't bother with this - just get almost any other benchmarking utility out there. Even the free ones will offer more functionality than this thing.. THis used to be available directly from the supplier. Now it has to come through Steam and that sucks, because Steam adds CPU overhead that takes away from the test results. Not buying this ever again while it's in Steam. Also it just gives me a number at the end that I can't use to judge whether the results are good or bad or indifferent. It's pretty useless for me.. Really good benchmarking software!
